This 2700 square foot custom home was designed with green building principles specifically keeping the Texas summer in mind.
The main body of the house is on and east-west axis with a covered porch, enclosed courtyard and deciduous trees on the south face. The west side of the house is nestled against tall oak trees and a swimming pool sits on a lower terrace to the north. The main living area is cross-ventilated and is two stories tall in order to act as a thermal chimney. Floors and countertops are stained concrete and all of the living areas include ceiling fans.
